got a odd problem..
A few months ago i bought the tune up kit from Late model restoration. The kit included some autolite 25's, Talor plug wires, cap and rotor. I never could get the plug wires to fully seat on the plugs with that nice, reasureing pop that you useualy get. I just figured that they were on and just didnt pop.
well, last night i got down and pulled the number 5 plug (or maybe it was the number 1) and put it on my old firewire wire and sure enough it poped in. i then put it on the taylor that was still in the car and noticed that the boot slid all the way down to the bolt and it still wasnt seated. Pushed a lot harder and got it to pop on but the boot is bulged out around the bolt like a spring and will eventualy push the wire off the plug. :bang: So, do i call LMR and tell them whats up and try to get some different wires or do i just cut the boots and never buy Taylors again? ![]() I should have just bought the msd superconductors like i had before and called it good

I would give LMR a call and see what they say. They're usually pretty good with handling stuff like that. Could you cut the bottom of the boot so that it wouldn't bulge out and push itself off?
I too would have gone with the MSD's.

i slid the boot back a little and the end still dont really fit on the end of the plug. its so loose that you can feel it moving around over the end of the plug.
I had to be carefull how i worded that so that chris didnt have something else to put in his alredy huge sig! |
