nitogen filled tires
I saw where American muscle was starting to do the nitro fill on new tire and rim combos. anyone ever run tires filled with nitrogen?
My wife has a friend that runs it in her car, i asked her if she could tell a difference, she said no. so, do you save enough on the calmed less tire wear and the other benefits to drop forty bucks to have them filled with this inert gas? ![]() And what if you get a low tire, can you fill it with pump air or will that taint your tire? |

Your tires would be fine if you put regular air in them after having nitrogen. Whether you'd save any money on tires... who knows? Regular tire pressure monitoring and maintenance has done well enough for decades. That's good enough for me, personally.

the nitrogen filled tires is just a marketing ploy you can only put 95% in a tire and with compressed air it is already 75% nitrogen so no it is not worth the money you pay to have them filled. if you were getting your tires filled with nitrogen for free dont turn it down just dont pay for it. if you were driving speeds of 150+ for miles like nascar it would be very beneficial but for a normal street car a waste of money.
