Using multimeter to....

Ok...well not to sound like a total idiot (like usual) I need help. I finally got my tool kit from school and included was a brand new Fluke multimeter. Now i've heard that you can use these to pull codes off the computer with both a KOEO and KOER. Just wondering if anyone had a good write up and knew who to do it?

Well I guess I heard wrong. You can use an older meter or use the test light method, which was actually pretty easy!
