Pypes V. Magnaflow... - Original Pony Car

Ok, posted this over on sn now its your guys turn to chime in.
Im wanting a stainless cat back kit, ive owned my car for about 13 years and it time to change my second set of flow's. i really like the sound of my three chambered flowmasters but im having a hard time decieding on my next cat back.
Everyone likes the magnaflows but to me they cackle like a old truck with straight pipes. Pypes systems are priced better but ive never heard them. The rep told me they have a chambered muffler (street pro) thats sounds more like a flowmaster.
I really want the borla but im not even going to shell out that kinda cash for em.
so i put it to you guys, have ya'll ever heard eather of these kits? how'd they sound?

I don't much care for the sound of Magnaflow mufflers either, so I'm right there with you. Borla's have a deep tone to them, but they're quiet until you stand on the throttle. For what they cost, I wouldn't buy them either. That leaves Pypes, and I don't know anyone who's ever had them, so they could be heard. Personally, I'd probably go with another set of Flowmasters, or Mac Flowpaths if I was going astray from FM.

I checked on flowmaster stainless kits, two chamber kit for like 600+. thats borla money. I want a kit thats quiet untill it gets to around 2500 or 3k, when i have my foot in it.

Maybe you could find a good used Borla kit? I've heard a set of Pypes on a 03 V6....sounded decent, but I doubt they would sound good on a 5.0. That's just my .02

I've heard Violators up close and personal. Dave's Notch has em. A little too blatty but no real drone and at WOT it sounds kinda NASCARish. Not loud at idle at all.

screw it, i think im going with the violators. If i order them from lmr they are cheeper but if i order them from pypes then i can get a signed carol shelby trading card

for about 15 bucks more.
can you belive that the pypes stainless kit is less than the flowmaster 44's

Ugh, I wish I would have gotten Pypes for my Capri but I got Flowmasters instead. *kills self*
