replacing tie rod ends.

found a bad tie rod when I had the tires off this weekend. Looked at my ends and they were way out of wack compared to the wifes and pulled the gun on a set of bumpsteer units from steeda. after i ordered i saw that MM had theirs on sale

was poking around tonight and saw that there was no backing nut on the back of the outer TRE, any thoughts on how to mark that so i dont screw the new one on too far? I was thinking of a zip tie or a piece of wire warped around the end, something like that...
not that it matters cause its probably going to have to get an alignment done anyway to fix the toe, if it does then im going to have it set up with a little camber, just cause i hate my tires!
