Just found out a couple days ago. Haven't been to the doc yet, but we're hoping to get in this upcoming Tuesday.

I can't wait, I'm just so excited!

I don't even care what gender, just that they're healthy.

Luckily, my digital camera has its own rechargeable battery. Nine times out of ten, I end up using my iPhone camera anyway. It's far more convenient, even with my tiny point and shoot digital. I always have the phone with me.

I'm fixing to be even more broke than I already am. Hope those accounting classes pay off and I can get something started in that field now. I'm gonna need the money!

Thats great that your looking ahead, thinking like a family man! Up here in South Dakota, a qualified CPA makes 50K a year starting out. Going broke on an education is great, it will pay you back many times over.

My advice.. Start a college fund right away! As distant as it might look, it seems like time has flown the coop and now both my kids are within a year of starting college. Consider that the college fund is recession proof.

Ok, so stock up on diapers, wet wipes and its never too late to start child proofing the house!

Ill echo SVT on the college fund, talk to someone about starting a 529 and make sure that they dont go broke getting an education!

Fortunately, we have a bunch of stuff leftover from my girlfriend's daughter, so if we have a girl, we'll be ok to start off. I have thought about the college fund though. I'd love to do it, but I'm honestly beyond broke nowadays. A job change isn't optional, it's necessary. After that, I can give it some more consideration.

Coming from someone that's currently broke getting an education, I wish my parents had done something for me. I have every intention of making sure my child, as well as her daughter (that's my little girl, regardless of the biology behind it) have nothing to worry about when that time comes.

It'll be here before we know it, but the wait might kill me (or her hormones!!!!). Four to six more weeks before we can find out what we're having though. My brother, who claims to not like kids, absolutely adores her daughter and wants a boy next, so he can play with all the cool toys with him. Mind you, my bro is 34! LOL! I just can't wait either way.

We haven't started anything just yet, though she did buy a few baby items. Right now the pressure is on to find a better paying job. I'm still trying to find something accounting related, but I'd take just about anything that pays more.
