Good cam for stock motor?

Ok...so I'm lookin to do a cam upgrade soon. Here's my issues:
Price
Power gains?
What can be used without tune

I would like to use something that has a lumpy idle and makes good low end power.

You're honestly probably better off with the stock cam and some 1.7 rockers. It's a hell of a lot of work for probably 5-10 HP tops, with stock heads.

185's will have issues with the stock valve reliefs on the pistons. I was going to buy those before getting my TFS heads, until I found out you need to notch the pistons even more. As far as I know, TFS is the only head you can run that has a 2.02 intake valve and still clear the pistons, because of their canted valves. AFR uses inline valves, like a stock head.

Wow...good to know! I almost had a set for cheap! Did you get a chance to drive yours with the TFS heads before the blower?

I'm in the process of compiling a list of junk for a 347 build.

I did the heads in '06, so I did get a couple years of driving it before the blower. I should have stayed NA. The blower has been nothing but headaches, since installing it. I started working on it about a year ago and still haven't gotten it going yet. It was complete, but I think I was having EGR issues (both the valve being bad and the tube leaking), so it was causing issues with my bank 1 O2 sensor. I just haven't had the ambition to get it finished up.
