I like my little s-10 but

I HATE working on the damn thing! At work we had an old f-250 with a 351, i could shimmy under that and change the starter in less than an hour (im paid by the hour so there was no hurry) didnt even have to jack it up. tonight i spent more than i care to admit trying to take off the starter on my s-10, and still didnt get it off. infact, i think that i broke one of the little wires that are on it :bang: No wonder that Co. went **** up.
F' it tomorrow im putting it back together, getting a couple of buddies and push starting it and takeing it to a mechanic. ive already strained my back pushing it.
maybe ill just roll it down the hill and into a tree...

thats what mine has in it but for some reason there is no room under under the truck. all kinds of stuff in the way. A buddy of mine told me that hte best way to unbolt was to go at it from the wheel well. thats how i got the power undone but it was a pain in the buttox. i dont know how im going to get the small bolt off. I guess ill bolt the starter up and try to get at it that way.

OH NOOOOZE! I broke the signal wire ring, the ring that goes around the stud broke off from the rest of the connector. i wondered what it was when i pulled it out then after i got the new starter bolted in (dude at the parts counter said to bolt it in then see if it needs shims) i went to bolt the wires back up and thats when i noticed the broke wire im fixin to scrap it but the starter is worth about 1/5th of what i paid for the truck!

Hell just wrap it around the stud and put some JB Weld on it! LOL!!

Seriously though...just take the wire and slap another connector on it.
